January Calendar Page

Hello all.... This Graphic 45 paper has been staring at me so I dug up an old picture of my great grandmother walking down Portage Avenue in Winnipeg. I love how they used to take these pictures? Every city, has these walking pictures... they are pretty kewl and I thot it deserved a "Place in Time"

First thing I did was try out a new Ranger product, it works great! It's sticky embossing powder and how it works is, in this case, I dabbed some versa marker on my snowflakes, then sprinkled on the sticky embossing powder, heated it and while it was still hot then I sprinkled glitter onto it. Voila! A great medium to stick glitter, with a quick pass over of the heat tool again, the glitter is stuck! ( You could also stamp into versa mark and use it that way, or cover chipboard with versa mark, and do the same steps )
I had to add some snow drifts and that product is called liquid applique. It's in a tube, you place a few "snowdrifts" on an area, and when you heat it, it puffs up! So kewl! Before you heat it you can add a bit of glitter to it also and it will be embedded in the snow.
 more snow.....
the stamps are crumpled and covered with glossy accents. Don't ask me why, but I always feel compelled to crumple stamps!
The page itself had a few snow drifts on the letters, so I covered them with the liquid applique and made them 3D. Then on parts of the letters and swirls I used diamond stickles to highlight some areas. I didn't do the entire word cause I wanted my snowflakes to stand out.
along the bottom, I cut out a few of the girls, and used popdots to give them some height.
and the final result :-) Hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise to get the shopping list, and have a Happy Scrappy Day :-)

that your calendar page would be perfect for. :) Just if you are interested.
