What is at the top or your thankful for things? Something for the scrapbookers to think about doing. Get everyone at your gathering to make a list of 1 or 3 or more things they are thankful for? Keep them to read every year. Or place them in a "thankful jar" to be enjoyed anytime.

Say Cheese Lawn Fawn Mice!

Howdy, and happy Tuesday! Karla back today, and I hope your week is going great so far. I've had a lot of crafty stuff going on lately, and today I wanted to share these sweet Lawn Fawn Thankful Mice! They are so cute, and perfect for this Thanksgiving card.

I had a piece of background paper in a Smash book that had the Say Cheese sentiment on it, so I cut it into a banner shape and added it to my card, layering the swiss cheese image from the same paper behind my Simple Stories Polaroid cut out. I layered the mason jar and adorable mice onto the photo, using some popdots for dimension. A pretty piece of striped Simple Stories paper was just right for the base of my card.

I cut the mason jar from velum using a metal die and my Cuttlebug and added some of the yummy cheese inside. I used a little tea bag tag from the Love You A Latte set and a tiny heart to the top of my jar.

Inside, I used the sentiment included with the set and another piece of cheese along with that cute heart stamp again.

A few sequins and buttons from the 28 Lilac Lane collection finish off my card!

Diecut Leaf Card!

Karla here today! A few weeks ago we made a beautiful leaf card at the Scrapendipity Make 'n Take with Holly for Thanksgiving. We started off by using Distress Inks to sponge fall colours on a piece of white cardstock and then diecut a leaf from the center. We went on to create a lovely card, and I brought home the negative cut to play with.

We were having an extra guest for dinner (Canadian Thanksgiving is in October), so I needed one extra card! I put my card together by laying down a piece of dark script Prima cardstock on a green card base and then layered the diecut leaf piece on top. I stamped a Fall sentiment with Jumbo Java Versa Magic Ink on the front. The Versa Magic is such a nice stamping ink! And I love the way the Distress Ink leaves a shadowed area around the edges of my cardstock. 

To coordinate with our Thanksgiving celebration, I stamped an envelope with some images and sentiments and used Prismacolor coloured pencils to colour in my pumpkin. 

This was a quick and easy card and made our guest very happy! Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope all my US friends enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving coming up very soon!
