Celebrate With Crazy Birds!

Karla here today to share a fun Crazy Bird card with you! I finally picked up these fun Crazy Birds stamps by Tim Holtz along with the coordinating accessories and sentiments from the Scrapendipity Truck and I wanted to mix them up with these SVG diecuts from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

I used my 6x6 paper pads to diecut the balloons and title with my Cricut Explore. I absolutely love how precise the cut is with the Explore! I know my blade should probably be changed, but it still cut these thin balloon strings wonderfully. I layered the balloons on some pink Simple Stories paper, popping some up with foam dots to give dimension. I actually cut both layers of balloons in the same colour and then used an alcohol marker to shade in the base to save time.

I had some watercolour backgrounds that I've been working on and thought these would be perfect for stamping this cute Crazy Bird, the hearts, his hat and the present on. After stamping I added in some shading details with Prismacolor Markers and used Glossy Accents on his little eyeballs and the heart on the balloon.

I added some white gel pen to the ribbon on the present and popped up the bird to look like he was standing on this cool title.

Inside, I added one of the great sentiments from the set and a couple more hearts.

Fun Times Quick Card!

Hope you're having a super awesome week so far! Karla here today sharing this cute and quick card to make. I love making detailed cards with technique driven backgrounds, but sometimes I just need something quick!

I cut a piece of the pool coloured polkadot paper to fit on my card front (it's actually from an American Crafts Christmas collection - Jolly!) and used a border punch to punch one edge before layering it on my card over a light pink strip. Then, I used a frame from the Maggie Holmes collection of diecuts to layer over an ice cream journalling card from a Dear Lizzy paper pack. It came with a sheet of cut apart journaling cards on a 12x12 page. I used a sentiment from a paper pack as well and added a couple enamel dots and that was that!

There are so many paper packs that come with journaling cards in them now - it's easy to find ones to add to a card! A little layering and you've got a pretty card ready in minutes!

Gorjuss Girls Class with Dianne Aug 18

The newest stamps have arrived and Dianne is finally getting to teaching a class with these awesome girls!!
Dianne will be making 4 cards using Tombows to color! Selena always has a great selection of Tombows in these days so bring your markers and come color with us! (if you don't have Tombows and want to color, let me know!)
These cards are great for any occasion and at the class you can let Dianne know if you have a special occasion you need a card for, we can customize it!
If this date doesn't work for you, let Dianne know and she can do a mini class on another date!

Make and Take with Holly August 13

PLEASE NOTE THIS THURSDAY WE ARE IN THE CLASSROOM IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING -JUST FOR THIS WEEK -

Good morning ladies.  Hope this Monday morning finds everyone well.  How many of you have a set of Gelatos that you have never used or have used,  but never bring them out.

This week we will make this all occasion card using Gelatos and stamps.  You can use what ever color you would like to make your card. I will have lots of cardstock to match your work.

COPIC COLORING WITH SHARI August 20
