Lavinia backgrounds and more with Kate, June 22, South.

If you want to try your hand at some fab backgrounds incorporating new Lavinia stencils.

 Using mica mineral sprays and powders plus the use of brushes on a dry or wet card and a gel plate to create a magical underwater scene with the Zelith or Jolander stamp.

We will also use masking sheets to create a no edge wreath.

 

Please bring your usual tool kit for this class plus water based inks. A gel plate and brayer if you have one.

Some supplies will be there for your use.

 

Lavinia Beginners Tutorial with Kate May 11, S

           Introducing the Lavinia style of silhouette stamping, which have such wonderful detail in all the stamps. You will learn how to blend various backgrounds and all the basics of silhouette stamping.

Making and using masks for grounding, mountains or sun or moon.

We will use versafine inks for stamping and oxides or Lavinia inks for backgrounds.

Here are some examples of cards that

can easily be achieved in this basic class.

If you love the Lavinia style of stamping and would like to create beautiful backgrounds this class is the class for you. This style can easily be created for artist pieces for framing.

Please bring your Lavinia stamps, oxide and versafine

Inks. Blending brushes if you have them.

Supplies will be on hand to use if you don’t have them.

This is an introductory class and you will take home 3 cards that you have created.

The cost is $20. Wednesday 11th May 11am to 3.

Gell Plate Reverse Silhouette with Kate Fielder

 This tutorial you will be using a gelli plate to learn the art of reversing a silhouette image and blending techniques. You will practice with either oxide or water based inks.

This class is similar to the Lavinia style as shown in the pictures. Two cards 5½” x 8”.

Thank You Card Folder with Kate Fielder March 30 S

This tutorial you will make a folder with inside pockets, 4 cards and envelopes. Each will have ablended background of water based or oxide inks. Background and stamped silhouette images with VersaFine ink.

The folder will have a ribbon closure.
