NAPKIN ART “Cherubs” with Kerri-Ann December 14th S

This mixed media project features a decorative napkin, and a whole lot of texture paste. 

 This layout can be done on any surface you choose, including an art

 journal, traveler’s notebook or canvas.  When you pick up your class kit, it will contain a list of products you will need to have on hand in order to complete the class. 

 

This class will take place in the workshop at Scrapendipity South and live on ZOOM.  Two days prior to the class, you will receive an email invitation to the PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP created for this class.  The live class will be recorded so you will be able to go back and watch it on Facebook at your convenience.

Make and Take with Doreen November 18th

This fun shaped card is from a Penny Black Stamp and would be a cute Christmas card but it would also be a great birthday card or a card for a special friend when you want to say “hello”.  Pop in a gift card or a little pouch of hot chocolate and make it a gift in a card.

 

You will need Distress Ink in barn red and tumbled glass, foam dots for under the sentiment, black Sakura Glaze pen, and a diagonal or straight line stencil and foam applicator.  If you don’t have a stencil then just color the hand a solid color of your choice.   I used Copics to color the critters but pencil crayons would work just as well. Copic list and instructions with each kit.

 

Please email Doreen at bgscott@shaw.ca  to indicate number of kits and reserve a time at the South store – 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm.  Each kit is $5.00.   If you can’t attend but would like a kit, email Doreen and indicate number of kits and store you would like for pick-up.  Please prepay for kits that will be picked up by etransfer directly to Doreen.

MAKE AND TAKE with Monika November 18 N

This weeks Make and Take is a fun little card.  The little penguin wobbles a joyful Christmas wish or a winter birthday or even just a hello.  The kit has color instructions and includes a die cut wobble but if you have a purchased wobble in your stash you could use it.  Copic markers were used to color the little dude but you can use pencil crayons or whatever your favorite medium is.  The only thing you need is  your basic card kit, foam tape if you want more dimension and Wink of Stella or Stickles for a bit of bling.

This Make and Take is at the NORTH store.  Please email Monika directly at mmgilliham@gmail.com and let her know what time (10, 11, 12 or 1) and how many kits you would like.  Each kit is $5 cash.  If you aren't able to attend but would like a kit, please email Monika with how many kits and which store you will pick up at.

Dina Wakley Art Journal Class with Sarah Haug November 27th

 

We are adding a new date for this class join Sarah on Nov 27 @ 1-3 Do you love Dina's collage tissue paper? Do you wonder what to do with the white printed tissue papers? In this class, Students will learn techniques for using Dina's white collage tissue papers using acrylic paint. We will then create a collage cluster to add to a page in your journal. This page can be created in the Dina Wakley art journal, Dylusions Journal, or another Mixed Media Journal with heavy paper.  Sarah will also talk about techniques for the Denim and Burlap pages in the Dina Wakley journal. Supplies: Dina Wakley Gesso and Gel Medium, Dina Wakley acrylic paints, Dina Wakley Stencils. Other brands of Gesso, Gel Medium and paints such as dylusions, Liquitex or craft paints can be substituted for the Dina Wakley paints. Paint brushes, water cup, black archival ink, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and a black paint pen will be needed also.  Dina Wakley collage tissue papers and dictionary papers will be provided during class Cost $20.00 Please call to register, payment due upon registration 403-457-7790

Cricut Design Space 101 December 2nd S

 

Cricut – Design Space 101, if you use design space, this class is for you :-) Cost of class: $15 When: December 2nd Where: South Store 6 PM Design Space is the program we use to cut out the SVGs used by a cricut machine. Although the program is very easy to use and learn, it can be confusing. This class will focus on the basics of using Design Space. We will discuss: Uploading, Resizing, Moving, Adding to canvas Shapes, Weld, Attach, Group and Ungroup What will be supplied: Cardstock for making the card and envelope What to bring: Your computer with design space installed Your cricut machine Cricut tools needed will be: a fine blade single scoring wheel or scoring stylus Cricut 12 x 12 mat Glue Not required but useful would be: A Bone folder and scoring board An ink pad (reddish or dark pink and a blending brush WE do Have ONE machine for someone to use that doesn't own their machine, and would like to see if they like them.

Northwoods Unlimited Stamping Date November 23 S

 

Save the Date Remember Northwoods stamps? If you do you will remember how amazing their sample boards are! We were gifted a very generous donation to the store of some sample boards and stamps!! So, for a fun day I thot we could have a play day where you bring or buy your own paper and inkpads, and come stamp the hours away!! For $5.00 you have an unlimited use of the stamps for the whole day. We have one board with all the stamps to use and 2 other boards with samples that are similar. There are over 100 stamps and every season is covered! So if you are interested, keep the date in mind. These stamps are beautiful colored with copics or watercolor!
