MIXED MEDIA NAPKIN ART “Daisies” with Kerri-Ann April 27

This is a great class for beginners who want to dip their toes in mixed media but it’s also lots of fun for the experienced crafter.  Napkin art is perfect for a traveler’s style notebook such as the Dylusions Dyalog Insert Book.  It’s just the right size (and a great place to keep all your future masterpieces)!  Don’t have a notebook/journal? No problem, you can do the project on a plain piece of cardstock.

This mixed media project uses a decorative napkin as the background with some creative layers and blending.  Featured products include Sizzix 3D Impresslits “Burst”; Stampers Anonymous “Flutter” stamp; a few paints and whatever decorating media you have on hand.  Your kit will include the decorative napkin, a quote, some stamped butterflies and die cut flowers.

When you pick up your class kit, it will contain a list of products you will need to have on hand in order to complete the class.  You will receive an email TWO days prior to the class with an invitation to the live ZOOM meeting and PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP.  If you are unable to attend the ZOOM meeting at the scheduled time, you will be able to watch the recorded class on Facebook at your convenience.

Interested in getting messy and creative on a regular basis? Why not start an art journal?  Each month will be a different theme using different mediums and techniques.  Learn which products work well together and how to use up your stash of papers and embellishments in a fun, creative way.  This project can be done in any size journal but could also be done on a piece of plain cardstock/mixed media paper.

Happy Monday Crafty friends. I sincerely hope that as we enter a new month, we will once again be able to visit virtually in the classroom. I miss seeing all my friends and I am feeling the distance. Hopefully this months make and take will remind you that spring is in the air and one day soon this will all “blow” over!! With this make and take you will need broken china tim holtz ink (or a blue of your choice). Take and Make with Doreen March 18th North or South

  

 

Hi Everyone

We are all waiting for Spring to arrive.  This card gives your recipient a little surprise when they open it.  The little gnome pops up on his bee that he is training while waiting for warm spring days to get here.  You will be doing some inking with Wild Honey Distress Ink and coloring with Copic markers or your choice of coloring medium.  Have your pop dots and double-sided tape or glue handy.  Get out your scissors to fussy cut the stamps.  Wink of Stella clear was used on the bees wings and on the goggles.  Add highlights with a White Uniball Signo pen.  Color instruction sheet included.

Glorious champagne shimmer background, enhanced with black, 3-D embossed and inked card stock, and a sweet little bow to complete the look... All you need to complete this kit is adhesive and an oxide ink or similar product. (I did the tail in snow marker, so if you have it...)
