Take and Make with Dianne Available May 14

The kits will be available for pick up at the store, during regular hours starting Thursday. Orders must be in to the teacher by Tuesday night. Hello Ladies! Welcome to another week of Take n Make! I hope that you have been enjoying some crafting time! This week, Dianne has created a card with spring colours and butterflies! They will be stamped for you on watercolour paper so you can colour with any water based medium such as Tombows, distress inks, watercolour ink, etc. Dianne can help you if you have questions!  PLEASE NOTE! If you prefer to colour with COPICS PLEASE INFORM DIANNE AND SHE WILL STAMP ON COPIC PAPER!   You will need adhesive,3-4 ink colours and if you have a stub or even a corner rounder for the corners. Well May sounds a little more promising!!! Does this mean that life goes back to normal.... not quite.... but it's a start. The province predicts we can open our doors to the public on May 14. So.... if that prediction comes true this is what we have in play for precautions... hand sanitizer at the front door and till area, tap debit machine, we will have marked zones for your safe distancing, we will have private shopping times available to book from 4-6 on the half hour, and we are still offering curbside pickup for those not ready to come in, and I can still be your personal shopper :-) I'll keep you posted as we hear more definite plans :-)

Our 'Feed the Tigers' Zoo crop and the card kits  from Crystal brought our zoo donation total to 1500.00 and then an anonymous donation matched our total, giving the zoo a total of 3000.00 !!!

Watercolour Whimsy with Crystal Online May 21

Instructor: Crystal Sign up cut off date: May 18th Kits Available and Video links sent: May 21st Cost: $20 Class description: Come join Crystal in the wonderful world of watercolour. This is a great class for beginners or seasoned "water colourists" alike. I will walk you through how to create three cute and whimsical cards using stamps from My Favourite things and Concord & 9th and finishing them off with some sparkle and bling. I have sanitized my work area, tools, and hands while making all kits and they are in sealed packages for you to help keep everyone safe.   How Crystal's Online classes work: Step 1: Call into the store at 403-455-6772 to register. to sign up for the class you would like to attend and make payment for the class by the sign-up deadline. Step 2: Make sure you give a current and valid email address during registration. Video links are sent this way for the virtual online class. Step 3: Crystal will check every Friday during sign up time and will email out a list of additional supplies you may want/need. Curbside pick up is a quick and convenient way to get both kits and purchases while limiting contact during this time. Step 4: If you require or want any supplies from the emailed list, you can order online or call the store to order and make payment. The lovely ladies of the store can pull the supplies (As long at they are in stock) and fulfill your order before you go to collect the card kits. Please note that Selena does her best to have the supplies on-hand but due to demand she may need to order them in. Please allow time for that. She is also quite busy keeping things running smoothly for all of us so giving her some advanced notice would be helpful and appreciated so she has enough time to gather items for you. Please note that some of the stamp sets used are a special order and may take extra time to come into the store. Order early to get them in sooner. Step 5: Collect your card kits and supplies from the store on or after May 21st. Step 6: Crystal will send out a link in an email by end of day May 21st to the online virtual classroom. Please do not share these links with others unless permission from her has been granted. Step 7: Watch, pause, rewind, and/or fast forward through the videos and make cute projects from the comfort and safety of your own home.

One die, Three ways

I absolutely love this die from Spellbinders!

It is so pretty, and so easy to use.

Super elegant, and also fun.

 

So, we have a "class" for you, making the most of this die.

The kit is made of 3 cards, and all of the elements are cut for you! 

The first card is a whimsical card, and the die cut is "deconstructed".

With the second card, you assemble the die cut as usual, and you will also be making rolled flowers.

The third (and so elegant) card uses the die in its entirety.

 

Products you will need to complete at home: glue, adhesive, pop-dots, scissors 

I have pre-stamped the sentiments for you, but will include a blank replacement for you to stamp your own.
