Embossed Resist Card with Color Burst!

Hey crafty friends! Karla here today, and I hope you all had a lovely weekend and the week has started off great :) Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Emboss Resist technique. It's like magic every time I do it!

I started out by taking a stamp and inking it with Versamark Ink. After stamping on watercolor paper I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I tapped my Color Burst powders directly onto my craft mat before spritzing with water to make an intense watercolour palette and then painted them directly onto the watercolor background. So easy!!

I added some bakers twine around a metal embellishment and added some sequins to finish it off.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you're inspired to get out whatever watercolor medium you have and apply it to an embossed background. See what fun you can have!

Fun Friday with Pam

Bo Bunny Dream Big Banner is finished!

After all the fussy cutting dried, I searched out some real scrabble letters to use, as well as scraps of lace from Prima as well as the stash.

For ease of assembly I just stapled elements on. Very fast and works just fine. I dug out the rosette dye folded some quick trims up.
Had to hang it on the wall to photograph. Might add some more ribbons and bits to it yet. This was a fun project with beautiful papers.

Thanks Pinterest for the funnies

Grandma Scrapbook Layout!

I love this sweet photo of my daughter snuggled up with her grandma. We don't get to see her too often, so the time spent with Grandma Mar is precious.

Karla here today using the April sketch from the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine along with a large cut file as the base for my layout. I love using patterned paper on a layout, and I love how these papers match my photo!

These little hearts matched the papers I used, so I placed them inside the cut file openings after using foam dots to pop up my photo to add a little dimension.

I used my Cricut Explore to also cut the title before adding a graduated layer of Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover.

It was easy to fussy cut some of the flowers and circles from the paper pad and layer them on the bottom corner of my page before adding a clear embellishment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your week is filled with lots of happiness :)

Fun Friday with Pam

With all the sunshine, it has been almost impossible to make it inside to play. I finally took some time to start a new Banner.
Select the large balloon stamp. Use the ink of your choice. I used a black so I could see the outlines well. I stamped several balloons.

Next I fussy cut them all, removing the string image from the edges as well as the flag from the top.
Fold each balloon in half lengthwise. I used 4 stamped images for each balloon. Next carefully glue all but one matching side together. Trim up the place where they meet for smooth lines.
String a jewel on a thin piece of string, cut long enough to loop the top {for hanging} and lay inside the opening you left. Securely glue together. Ink the edges. Now you have a 3-D banner embellishment.
If you want to use this on a scrapbook page, simply cut one balloon fold in half and secure along the spine to existing pattern on paper.
'Beautiful Dreamer' by Bo Bunny was a perfect inspiration for this project.
Check in next Friday for the finished
'Dream Big' banner
