Little Miss Alice

Bo Bunny has a paper line called Little Miss, this particular one is called Little Miss Alice.... my daughter;s grad was this past weekend, and she went as none other than "Alice" she has been a big part of Maddie's life, and so when it came time to get a grad dress.... she designed her own, and took it to a seamstress to be made. Ruby Ellen, who did a fabulous job! Her boyfriend had to match and so he is the Mad Hatter... they are ADORABLE, and this paper SCREAMED at me!!!

a few pearls for steam... and glossy accents on the cups and teapot. I round them both and only put pop dots down the middle so they will stay curved.
What would one of my pages be without a Tim Holtz die??? lol
here is one of the newest... distressed doiley.
Bo Bunny brads, and want to scrap pearls. There is a tiny teapot in the brad.
the pearls on the page got more glossy accents and I dabbed dots, so they will be round.
the little ribbon flag that you see is actually the back side of the price code along the bottom of the page... some of these are really pretty. Make sure you check them out before you toss them! :-)

Hope you enjoy my page, and have a Happy Scrappy Day. Hop over to Scrapbookers Paradise to see the list of supplies.

Featured Product 3L duo packs GIVEAWAY

It's mid May which means a new Feature Item. From May 16th to May 31st 3L Duo Packs are on special for $10.50 ( Reg $12.50 ) If you are ordering online please quote "FIDP" in the comments section.

My Niece Chelsea was in town a few weeks ago, and I thot it would be fun to make a "She Art" canvas with her... so we did, and she had a blast. These are the pictures from that day. I thot the title should just say "Create" and have random things across the page, so here is my rendition of "Creating"

Bo Bunny Double Dot paper is the background, and yes the letters are the Tim Holtz Die. Random flowers, still from the mixed Prima bag that I have been using for 2 weeks!
After I cut out the letters I embossed them with the Swiss dots folder, and gave them a brush over with vintage photo.
Along the bottom I scrunched up some paper and stapled, pinned and glued it into a ruffled effect.

As you can see, it is a random mix of items. The gold clothes pin is from Graphic 45, Tim Holtz gears, and the Tim Holtz cards. And what would my page be without adhesive? A pile of stuff! So make sure you leave a comment at Scrapbooker's Paradise for your chance to win a Duo Pack of adhesive. Also pop over to my partner Selena M and see what she has made.

Have a Happy Scrappy Day

Olde Curiosity Shoppe

Happy Mother's Day!

It's been awhile since I used Graphic 45 paper.... like a whole week I think!! lol Anyway, I was at a thrift store and saw this great box. I loved the shape, and immediatley thot of my Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper sitting at home. My brain went into motion.....
So this is the before.... beautiful treasure chest, with a funky angle.
Inside was old velvet, which I ripped out and put a coat of mod podge on to seal the little fibers left over from the velvet.
While that layer was drying I worked on the inside of the lid. I cut out the border of one of the papers, and then cut a piece out of the sides to make it shorter so it would fit in the lid.

I used Mod Podge for covering the box. First I covered the sides and wrapped the paper onto the top a bit so the top layer would lock in the edges.
Notice my phone on the lid, I placed all the flowers and bling and rearranged until it looked full enuff, then I took a picture, so I could remove all the embellishments and place them again with glue. For all the embelly's I used fabritac, and believe me, they are on their good and strong!
Yes, there is a bit of fussy cutting involved here. On the front, the roller skate, and girl were fussy cut out, and  I extended them onto the lid.
Lots of fussy cut butterflies. After everything was glued and dried I went back and put Crystal Stickles on all the butterflies. Then I added Blue, and green onto the feathers, and the girl has cinnamon stickles in her hair and dress.

I needed these eyes to be front and center, so they went right across the latch.
 Close up of the details.

I loved this shelf and tried to put it the front but it wouldn't work so it got the side view, but it's so kewl when you look close at all the bottles I love it, each bottle got a coat of glossy accents and the result was really kewl.
Top of the box, the oddities sticker got a coat of glossy acccents too, and a nice book plate. I added some stickles to the edges of some of the flower petals too.
Gloria at work counted the embellishments in this corner... at least 50!!!
Here's a close up, there are Prima flowers, Tim Holtz metals, Bo Bunny pieces, Jesse James buttons, and random trinkets from all  over.

The inside is lined with one of the papers, and a couple of fussy cut images. The bottom is lined with SEI's velvet paper.
And my favorite part, the inside of the lid.
Some Prima flourishes, fussy cut butterflies, and what's an apothecary without bottles?
I had to do it... I added a light bulb and colored it with copics so it looks like it's turned on.
This was so fun to do, and there are so many pretty paper lines that would work for this project. Any box can be covered, Graphic 45 has 2 different size boxes, or a cigar box, or comb your local thrift shop and see what treasure you can dress up and make unique. There are so many awesome metals and flowers to add too, it's endless!

Lucky 8 Punch

I saw this new punch the other day, and was intrigued by it. It is HUGE! but oh so kewl! with 8 quick punches you can cut out your own 12x12 die cut page. There are quite a few different patterns, and 3 ways to cut. This may be hard to explain, so I'll give you We R Memory Keepers words. "Transform paper with the easy-to-use Lucky 8 Punch. In as little as 8 punches around the paper, ordinary paper becomes unique and decorative. It combines a corner and boarder punch in one tool to create an outer cut, inner cut, or a combination of both." Sounds great right?  So I meant to do all three different designs, but got ahead of myself... lol this is what I came up with anyway. I have one thing to say... it's FUN!
The one that I used is the "Retro Scallop"
I punched a plain white piece of paper, put a screen over the paper and sprayed glimmer mist, then removed the screen and sprayed a second color over the white.
Yes, that is one of Timmy's new dies.... the Vintage Telephone, and it's awesome!
We got a mixed bag of Prima flowers, all 3 pages have flowers from the same bag. Prima bird house, and Sizzix elegant flourishes die.
This scalloped edge is more behind the scenes, but I love working with the altered paper!
Really! I got flowers with spiders on them, I was a bit excited and couldn't wait to use them, a whole 3 days after Comic Con!
 Sizzix die, Candlelight fright.
Some random cardstock spiders covered with glossy accents to make them look like resin buttons.
And for this page I only used half the circle and will use the other piece on the double page layout side.
more Prima flowers, and bling. And my favourite graphic 45 line, Tropical Travelogue.
Well, that was fun! Hope you have a great happy scrappy day :-) Hop over to Scrapbookers Paradise to get the full list of product.

I can has Sunbeam?

Happy Wednesday everyone! Please forgive me for what I'm about to say, in the page I designed for today I realized after the fact that the paper line I used just went to sale.... :-(  But..... there are 2 new fascinating products that I wanted to show you, so I posted the page anyway. This was a very busy weekend with Camp Croppin, AND Calgary Expo ( our version of Comicon ) so I will show you the page, and I will also be posting some pics from Camp Croppin put on by Scrapbooker's  Paradise, and it was a phenomenal event!!!
This is my wonderful cat Lucky laying in a sunbeam.... oh to have a cat's life!!
This is Lyndy's embossing powder. We went to a class the other night to learn about Lyndy's product and WOW! First thing that amazed me was when the embossing powder was poured onto a piece of cardstock, in  a little pile, and then heated from UNDERNEATH, that's not a typo! And notice I didn't say to use any versa mark for this way to do this embellishment. Now that the powder is hot and melted, stamp into right away with a RUBBER stamp, and you have a very kewl effect. What is hard to see in this photo, is how shimmery this powder is! Beautiful colors!! I love it!
Next is the new Tim Holtz die that I have been waiting for, ( ok I wait for all of them ) but this one is my favorite!!
It has the whole alphabet, and numbers and an & symbol!! So imagine, being able to cut letters to match any layout, ( yes a cricut will do this ) but.... because it is the big die, you could put up to 3 - 5 pieces of cardstock or patterend paper, or a piece of chip board, or magnet or plastic.... or, or, or, anyway, back to the cardstock, if I ran a few pieces thu' I bet I could spell anything I wanted to, without running out of letters! And in perfect Tim form, the letters are an awesome fun font!! Plus I could start my own little alphabet drawer for extras!
and there is my cute cat, "I can has sunbeam?"
Have a happy scrappy day! Hop over to Scrapbookers Paradise to get the complete product list.
