Washi Flowers

Hello all. Everyone seems to have Washi Tape on their projects lately so I took a journey thru you tube to find some ideas. I found a really cute flower made with the ever popular tape and thot I'd share.

First thing was to pick some washi tape. There are allot of choices!!!

Step 1 is to measure about 3" and fold the tape in half so there is no stickiness left.

then I rounded the ends so that my petals are flower like. Scrunch it in the middle and fold it

I made 3 of them for each flower, and arranged them into the shape of a flower. Glued together...

then I added a bling center, and voila, washi flowers.

I added them to my page, and I like that they aren't bulky.

I Heart Summer part 2

Hello all! Well, I got my binder ring insert that I was missing when I went to make this book the first time.... Now I have the finished product!

well..... 99% done. I still need to print a few photos and when I do that and the book is full, then I will go back and add little bits and pieces from the chipboard and brad sets sets.

I added LOTS of pockets, some of the cut aparts from the 12x12 sheet were too cute to cover, so I just randomly stuck them into pockets among the journal and photo tags!

I loved the jar on this page, so I fussy cut part of it, reinforced the back so it doesn't tear beyond where I want. Now I can slip a journal tag behind the cuteness!

I'm going to decorate this little jar, but I was waiting for a photo, and then I will put something in the jar that matches the picture!

I made as many pockets as I could.

I used mostly ribbon for the tag tops but I had fun with a few. Here I layered a flower and used a brad with a design on it.

Because I can make as many pages as I need in the book, I can make the pages fat with photos and flip pages, then If I have more space in the end, I will add another page.

lots of secret flips! I love these papers for this! If I like the design on both sides, I make it a door!

again, the really cute images I wanted to keep, so, add a pocket, fill it with tags and I can still see the back page :-)

One of the last pockets I embossed, and then used the postcard as a pocket. Now off to the print store. Hope you enjoyed my little summer book. This cover be any theme you like. It's even kewl enuff to leave uncovered, it has a distressed look to it. Have fun! Thanx for popping by. Check out Scrapbookers Paradise for the shopping list, and.... Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

PPSC#3 Spiderman

Hello all, I know this is a pretty flat page, but my Comicon book is getting so fat, I'm trying to do thin pages. So it's not exactly the page I want to show you.... it's these kewl Tim Holtz Shattered papers....

Just a bit of layering....

but this is the kewl part, You can ink the shattered papers to match any color you want. I used my ink blending tool and covered the paper filling in all the cracks with fired brick distress ink! Such a great look!

I did my journalling on a tag made from the new Prima Sizzix die called Elisse.I'm telling you the name because it took me forever to find it.... tag is not on the title lol!

and one last close up, one of my favorite dies from Timmy, the picture wheel! It's filled with little tiny pictures of Spiderman comics....

Thanx for popping by. Check out Scrapbookers Paradise to see the other challenge pictures, and here is a shopping list.

Sizzix dies - Picture Wheel, Elisse

Stampede Page 2

I love Stampede time.... Main reason, of course it's a blast! Greatest outdoor show on earth even. But then after Stampede.... it's so FUN to scrapbook!! Bring on the metal, burlap, rope and distress, distress, distress!!!
Here is the completed page...

Here is a close up of the burlap flowers. The Timmy Tattered florals of course!!  I had an extra flower, so I wrapped it around the page, just for fun :-) Buttons "hold" the papers together and the tags are sitting in a pocket behind the photo. I can reach them without pulling them out of the page protector. The pocket is halfway up so I don't lose the tags too deep behind.
Close up of the bottom flower. I tucked a piece of rope to one side of a photo, cause you "need" rope on a cowboy page!

and my adorable tags! This was an old paper line from Creative Imaginations, and they make awesome tags!

Thanx for popping by, have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Thru the Mud

As some of you may know, Calgary has been under some muddy waters lately. ( To say the least ) We have been going to the Stampede look out and watching the progress (unbelievably quickly) coming together. This was a picture I took on a rainy day overlooking Stampede, it sorta explains the spirit of Calgary, we are in chaos, but even in the rain a cowboy will venture out and check the progress of his beloved city. Below is the hustle and bustle of hundreds of volunteers working hard at all hours, thru rain and shine to restore our Stampede Grounds... and as it turns out, "Come Hell or high Water" the Stampede will go on.

My page shows what Calgary is like right now, the beauty shining thru the muck and chaos

There are many layers of pretty paper that are crumpled and crushed. The strips are rumpled, the lace inked and dirty looking, splashes of distress stains and scratched parts.

A random selection of brads and eyelets, a little bit of chaos....
