From white to wow

My challenge to myself was to take a bunch of different white papers..... and turn them into pretty colors and patterns.

This is what I started with, a resist paper, a smooth piece of white cardstock, and 2 more white with a texture on them.
Find your favorite flourish stamp and stamp all around the edge of one background piece and your photo mats.

Use archival ink, so it won't smudge. Then I used faded jeans distress ink and inked all around the edge over the stamped image.
next was a few embossed chipboard pieces. I cut out the clock from the Tim Holtz die weathered clock, and embossed it with aged aqua. I used the new Emboss It dabber, it's amazing for big pieces!

I did a few snowflakes too, not sure yet which ones I wanted to use.
then I started layering and tucking chipboard and strips of paper cut with an edge punch all around the page.
For this purple layer it was the white paper with embossed snowflakes on it. I used Dusty Concord distress stain and covered it, the embossed snowflakes show up beautifully.

I cut a few snowflakes out of the best creations glitter paper, and added some gem flourishes and bling.

After the page was complete, I couldn't decide which was I wanted it to be? this way
or this way??  Any suggestions? lol

Well goal achieved :-) it's not white any more.... Hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise to see the shopping list, and have a Happy Scrappy Day :-)
