A little glitter...

Hello all :-) Happy January and 2013!
Here is a little page with big bling!
First step was to cover the chipboard pieces. For the first one I used smooch and covered the flourish with Cappuccino color.
Then I needed a center for the rosettes and as hard as I looked I could not find a brad I liked, so, I dipped a glue dot in the same glitter that I used for the second flourish, and now they match :-)

This is the second flourish. I used the Ranger "Sticky" embossing powder. First step is to cover the item with "Emboss it"  then sprinkle on the "Sticky" now with your heat tool, heat the Sticky, once it is heated it gets sticky, hence the name, and now you can sprinkle the glitter on top of it. Now heat it lightly again, not too long you don't want to melt your glitter, or flock or whatever you have chosen, just lightly to reheat the glue.  This is the piece that matched the flower centers.

For the smaller flourish I tied the ribbon around the center of it. Then I added 2 keys to a jump ring, and fed the ribbon thru the ring, then I tied another knot to hold the keys in.  Depending on the photo, I could tie the ribbon on any part of the flourish.

The striped piece under the photo was cut with the interchangeable American Crafts edge punch.
Before it's glued down, you can see where I cut the corner of the frame. I loved the paper but I wanted a border of the contrasting brown, so I cut out the edge, snipped it in a few places, and repositioned it a bit smaller so there is room for the brown to show. I used fabritac to glue it down, I don't think much else would stick to the glitter. Added a few layers for the photo mat, and I have a finished page. Have a Happy Scrappy day. Hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise to see the supply list. And watch the blog for an exciting contest!
