Christmas? Nope

Fabscraps has a GORGEOUS Christmas line, with windows, an advent calendar and many pretty scenes.... but when I saw the paper, I fell in love with the bricks and the wood, so I decided to use this advent calendar for something else........

24 boxes.... 12 school years :-) I cut out the windows, and made little signs for each year, then I used the  roll of pop up tape to give my windows dimension.
I had a picture of a flower container so I cut it out, and rounded it and used some flower stems to add to the pot. It kinda looks real in the picture!
The back side of this paper is a brick wall, and when I cut out my windows I had extra pieces of the wall, so I cut out some bricks, gave it a ragged edge and used them to add more bricks to my page.

And my second page.... the Grad! 12 years later..... wow time flies! Sorry not allot of technique on this page, but I had to share my idea of the advent calendar :-)
Oh, and just as you thot I hadn't used a Tim die..... lol I cut out the year with one!

Have a Happy Scrappy Day! Don't forget to hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise for the supply list, and also enter the contest on the "Win Win Win" posts. I would love to see any other ideas for this paper? Make ya think lol :-)

I am sadly remiss when it comes to doing the school photos up. You do inspire the want to do it in me Selena. Keep smiling and creating.
Wonderful work with this paper.
