Graphic 45 Design Team 2013 Audition

My favourite paper line is having their design team call... and I am answering. Here are a few of my projects throughout the year, a couple of pages and some altered items...... have a stroll thru :-) and wish me luck !

First up, is the Places in time line, This was my January page, and adding to the beautiful "vintageness" of this paper, I found an old picture of my grandmother as a kid, walking downtown in Winnipeg. They always seem to take these pictures back in the day and then charge you for them. But they are classics!!

Next is another page from the same line, the March paper this time. I love the purples and greens together!

The finished page.
French Country and our petting zoo Butterfield acres go hand in hand. These are fun to fussy cut. And as always Graphic 45 papers scream for fussy cutting!
The whole frame and the Rooster and Sunflowers are fussy cut and pooped up so they make a shadow box effect. All the goodies cut out from the papers and a few photos are tucked into the inside of the frame.
Some faux chicken wire and I have a perfect page for our farm visit.

I have to try and make a mini album out of the smallest matchbox. This was actually made with all my scraps from the previous page layout. I colored the box with Viva Decor Inka Gold and it covers the boxes beautifully!!
I fussy cut the birdies sparkled them up a bit with stickles,
I lined the inside of the box with paper and inka gold.
built my book out of leftovers
and now I have a cute little treasure box for some photos and journalling cards.

Ahh Nutcracker Sweet! I waited for this line patiently to come in. And then as a bonus these boxes came the same time. So I had to do a shadow box, kinda like the old school paper tolling, the paper ws cut out and layered at different hights to give more or less depth.

any glass got a coat of glossy accents, the windows and clock faces. All the lights got yellow stickles to glow, and then matching colored stickles thruout the box.
a few fussy cut gingerbread men, and other pieces cut out from various papers.
The Curiosity Shoppe was another line I was waiting for. And I found this trunk at a garage sale. It was PERFECT for this paper!! I cut out so many pieces and placed them all over different parts of the box, front, back and sides. The shape of this box was very "curious" and perfect!

I did count but I forget now how many little things are glued into this corner.... let's just say allot!

Inside was my favourite part. I cut out little lables and made bottle covers, the bottles are glued in place. I colored the light bulb yellow so it looks like it is turned on, and ...it's hard to see but I cut out teeny little bees, and mounted them on plastic, then inserted them into the bottle so they look like they are flying! I love that part...lol
OK.... so everyone knows I LOVE Halloween!! and when this line came in, I HAD to make a haunted house board book out of it!!! This was SO fun to make.....
When the house is closed the rooms are layered upon each other. And the fence closes
Up close you can see the pumpkins peeking out of the fence, they are on the front and back sandwiched between the fence layers.
When you open it up, it will stand. The floor folds back and out of the way when it is a book.

the door has a knob and keys, just daring you to come in.
some windows were left open to see thru, others were closed off for photo places
Lots of interactive parts. The green clock slides open to uncover many little photos, and the hanging sign also hides many photos.
the pen nib looks like it wrote the quib, A joyful Halloween

the cat slides across the ribbon

the ghost tags are mounted on clear plastic so you can place them in the chair, no other purpose, they are just fun!

the back page holds books and postcards behind the fence.
 the crow tells the time
 tags for journalling

 little mini books
 journal cards
 teeny book

and the closed project, Hope you enjoyed my journey thru a few Graphic 45 lines.... and as always, have a Happy Scrappy Day!
